NK Pellet Binder

NK Pellet Binder

Description:
It is known as urea-formaldehyde prepolymer or methylol urea, is a water-soluble, thermosetting resin derived from the controlled reaction of urea and formaldehyde. In aquaculture feed manufacturing, it serves as a high-performance, multifunctional pellet binder and water stability enhancer. Unlike conventional binders, PMC offers unique chemical binding through polymerization during conditioning and drying, creating a durable, water-resistant network within the feed matrix.
Chemical Name:
Polymethylolcarbamide(PMC)/Urea-Formaldehyde
Indications:
● Improve pellet quality, reduce waste and ingredient separation during pelleting and transportation;
● Improve pellet durability in water, decrease the contamination of water and surrounding as the feed drip in water.
Recommended Dosage:
Add NK Pellet Binder directly into the feed mixer before pelletizing and extrusion process at the following recommended rate depending upon feed formulation and processing conditions.
              Shrimp Feed                2.0-6.0kg/Ton of feed
                Fish Feed                   2.0-4.0kg/Ton of feed
           Other Animal Feed         1.0-2.0kg/Ton of feed
Caution:

Storage for a period of time after pelleting can improve the pellets quality.

Trials:  Water stability provided by NK pellet binder and a commonly used binder- Lignin sulfonate (sold under a variety of trade names).
